Everything you need to know about YSP 360

An invite-only platform built for serious entertainment professionals. Find answers across every division — from development and financing to distribution and Hollywood access.

Screenplay Development

The Development division provides end-to-end support from concept to production-ready material: script analysis, story development consultations, industry-standard coverage, revision feedback, and direct access to development executives and producers within the YSP360 network.
Professional development strengthens narrative structure, character arcs, and commercial viability — the three elements distributors and investors evaluate first. A well-developed script significantly increases the likelihood of attracting top-tier casting, financing, and distribution interest.
Script coverage is a written evaluation — logline, synopsis, and notes — used to assess a script’s potential. Screenplay development is an active, collaborative process that uses that feedback to elevate the material across multiple drafts. Coverage diagnoses; development treats.
Yes. YSP360 supports feature films, television series (including limited series and pilots), and documentary projects. The platform’s network spans streaming, broadcast, and theatrical distribution channels, making it relevant for all long-form content formats.
A screenplay is generally ready for production when it has completed multiple development passes, received professional coverage with a Recommend or Consider rating, and has been reviewed by at least one industry professional outside your immediate circle. YSP360’s development pipeline can help assess readiness objectively.
At minimum, a completed first draft, a one-page synopsis, a logline, and a clear sense of your target audience and genre. A look book or visual bible is also helpful for establishing tone before entering development sessions.

Professional Casting

YSP360 connects member projects with professional casting directors and facilitates access to talent represented by CAA, WME, UTA, and Gersh. The process covers breakdown submissions, session access, and talent evaluation — structured around your project’s specific genre, tone, and budget.
Yes. YSP360 maintains active relationships with CAA, WME, UTA, Gersh, IAG, 3603 Arts, Link, and Artists First, as well as major management companies. These relationships enable member projects to submit breakdowns and access agency-represented talent at all career levels.
Yes. Providing independent filmmakers access to the same casting infrastructure used by studio productions is one of YSP360’s core value propositions — including agency submissions, self-tape review protocols, and direct engagement with union talent.
Before initiating casting you should have a locked or near-locked script, character breakdowns for each role, a production schedule with shoot dates, a defined budget tier, and a director attached. A project one-sheet also helps when engaging agencies and management companies.
Strategic casting can dramatically increase a project’s presale value, festival appeal, and platform acquisition interest. Attaching a recognizable or critically respected name — even in a supporting role — signals viability to distributors and increases press coverage potential before a single frame is shot.

Film Production

YSP360 provides access to line producers, production supervisors, department head referrals, budget template guidance, scheduling tools, and connections to below-the-line crew across major production markets. Support scales to your project’s size and stage.
Every production should have before cameras roll: a shooting script, a one-liner (stripboard), a detailed budget, a production schedule, cast and crew contracts, location agreements, insurance certificates, and a chain-of-title package. Missing any one of these creates legal or logistical exposure.
Thorough pre-production planning — including contingency budgeting, realistic scheduling, and legal preparation — is the single most effective way to reduce cost overruns, on-set disputes, and post-production delays. Productions that rush to camera without proper planning face significantly higher risk of incomplete or undeliverable projects.
Yes. Through its member network and industry relationships, YSP360 connects filmmakers with qualified department heads, line producers, and key crew for projects across budget levels — from micro-budget independents to mid-range studio co-productions.

Film Financing

Yes. Financing is a core division. YSP360 facilitates introductions to private equity investors, co-production partners, international presale buyers, and brand integration opportunities — providing members access to financing pathways typically reserved for established producers.
Film financing options include equity investment, presales, gap financing, tax incentives, brand partnerships, crowdfunding, and grants. YSP360 primarily facilitates equity investment and presale introductions through its network of qualified buyers and financiers.
Investors typically require a business plan or prospectus, a detailed budget with topsheet, a production schedule, chain-of-title documentation, an investor pitch deck, a distribution strategy, and where applicable, letters of intent from cast or distributors.
Financing conversations should begin as early as possible — ideally during late development, once the script is strong and key talent is being attached. Waiting until a project is fully packaged before approaching investors shortens your runway and reduces negotiating leverage.
No. Investors evaluate projects based on commercial viability, team experience, market comps, and distribution potential. Projects with no clear audience, unrealistic budgets, or underdeveloped scripts are unlikely to attract serious capital. YSP360 helps members strengthen their packages before investor introductions are made.

Distribution

Yes. YSP360 offers both theatrical and streaming distribution support, with connections to theatrical distributors, international sales agents, and major streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, A24, Lionsgate, Sony, and Searchlight.
Theatrical distribution places a film in cinemas for a defined run, generating revenue through ticket sales and establishing critical legitimacy that supports subsequent windowing. Digital distribution — VOD, SVOD, and AVOD — offers broader audience reach with lower upfront cost barriers and faster time-to-market.
Distribution strategy should be considered from the development stage, not after completion. Understanding your target platform and audience from the beginning informs casting, runtime, genre treatment, and marketing spend — all of which directly impact distributor interest.
Before approaching distributors you will need a screener (DCP or high-quality digital file), a trailer, a one-sheet, a press kit with cast bios and production notes, technical delivery specs, and chain-of-title documentation. International sales also require an E&O insurance policy.
Top-tier festivals like Sundance, Toronto, and Tribeca meaningfully increase acquisition interest. Smaller festivals primarily serve marketing and awareness goals. Securing a distribution deal requires proactive outreach to buyers — festival selection alone rarely generates deals without a sales agent or active distribution strategy in place.

Streaming Distribution

Streaming Distribution support includes guidance on platform submission requirements, introductions to streaming acquisition executives within the YSP360 network, technical delivery consulting, and strategic advice on windowing and licensing deal structures.
Rarely through public channels. Most major SVOD platforms require submissions through licensed sales agents or recognized production entities. YSP360 serves as a bridge by facilitating introductions through its established relationships with streaming acquisition executives.
Streaming platforms prioritize genre fit with their existing library, quantifiable audience potential, competitive cast value, strong technical delivery quality, clear marketing hooks, and favorable rights availability. Original IP with sequel or franchise potential is increasingly valued.
No. The streaming acquisition market is highly competitive. Most independently produced films do not secure major platform deals. Cast, genre, quality, and market timing all influence outcomes. YSP360 works with members to maximize acquisition readiness, but results depend on the project’s commercial merit.

PR & Marketing

The PR and Marketing division provides press strategy, media outreach, talent placement in industry trades including Variety, Deadline, and The Hollywood Reporter, social media campaign support, and branding consultation for member projects throughout production, festival, and release phases.
Every film entering the market should have a theatrical or digital one-sheet, a 2-minute trailer, an EPK (electronic press kit), production stills, a social media presence, and a project website. Trade coverage from Variety, Deadline, or THR meaningfully supports market positioning.
Marketing is paid or owned promotion — advertising, trailers, social campaigns, posters. Publicity is earned media — press coverage, interviews, reviews, and festival buzz generated through editorial relationships. Both are necessary; neither replaces the other. YSP360 supports members on both tracks.
Yes. Through its media relationships — including coverage in The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Wall Street Journal, Screen, and Deadline — YSP360 supports member projects in securing trade press placement at key moments in a project’s development, production, or release cycle.

Networking & Hollywood Access

Yes. YSP360 provides members with structured access to Hollywood’s major talent agencies (CAA, WME, UTA, Gersh), top distributors, and streaming platforms. This access is curated and relationship-based — not a public directory, but active facilitation through the platform’s industry partnerships.
YSP360 was built for screenwriters, filmmakers, producers, directors, actors, content creators, entertainment entrepreneurs, and investors — both emerging and established — who are serious about advancing their projects and expanding their industry presence.
No. YSP360 is an invite-only platform. Prospective members must submit an application, which undergoes a review process typically lasting 7 to 14 business days. Acceptance is based on project quality, professional intent, and fit with the platform’s community standards.
Membership is capped at a strict maximum of 500 members to preserve the quality and exclusivity of the platform’s industry access. A larger membership would dilute the value of introductions, reduce attention available to each project, and compromise the curated environment YSP360 is built to maintain.
YSP360 maintains a strict maximum of 500 members at any given time. New membership slots open only when existing members leave the platform, making timely application important for serious candidates.
